About Us

The Iowa City Camera Club provides opportunities for its members to share their common interests in photography. Our programs help members grow and improve in their appreciation of the art and science of photography, stimulate creativity and experimentation and offer opportunities to build community through photography. The Iowa City Camera Club is a member club of the North Central Camera Club Council, or N4C – www.n4c.us. The N4C holds monthly competitions in six categories (digital and print), in which the Iowa City Camera Club participates.

Our regular meetings are via Zoom, on the first and third Mondays of each month, at 7 pm. We also have “field” meetups for picture taking, as opportunity presents. Dues are $30 per person and $15 for first year members.  Your spouse/partner is welcome to attend with you for free but could not submit photos to N4C contests without also joining. If you are interested in giving one of one our Monday meetings a try, contact John or Mark at the email addresses below.

You can also find/contact us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/IowaCityCameraClub

The Iowa City Camera Club has been named Small Camera Club of the Year by the North Central Camera Club Council in 1991, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019  and 2020. For 2021 we’ve grown so we are now a “large” camera club in the N4C and were named Large Camera Club of the Year in 2021 and 2022.  Our members range from beginning photographers to experienced photographers who are happy to share their photos and experience on everything from cell phones to digital cameras and some who shoot film.
